Topic #6

For this weeks class we spoke about the types of government we have; that is either a strong mayor councilor, weak mayor councilor, and the public authority. My community engagements partner is located in East Palo Alto a small town with most of its residence being black's and hispanic. This is a small town so everyone basically knows each other. EPA is not that big there is only about 2 big shopping centers. East Palo Alto has a mayor, she is Lisa Gauthier and has been mayor since 2012.  EPA has three important council members they are, Ruben Arbica, Larry Moody, Carlos Romero, and Regina Wallace. With the help of all there people they keep EPAa safe living space for its residence. EPA is a location has a bad reputation from its past but over the years it has changed, and is still changing to modernize.
